You guys know the Voat drill when Reddit bans something:
Single file lines!
Voat is too broke to get real servers so we must take turns. We must act civilized and share in an orderly fashion or else it just ends up looking like a Black Friday nightmare around here and no one wants that.
So pick your time slot and stick to it, no cheating. Everyone has a 30 second window to Voat. Go.
Sorry about the downtime and slow responses, it's the best we have in Free Speechland at the moment.
Edit:
I hate receiving donations for a few reasons but here is Voat's BTC address if you feel called to donate: 3NZvuAk3Csf1UP1KCmzN9dhiXTwvhTgr9k. Please only donate if you have the means.

Old question but by any chance we can support you in some way? Appreciate taking money for running an 'edgy' site has its own complications.

How much money does voat need to buy the proper servers and such? I didn't think it was that much. An old Bitcoiner can probably help them out...

Very little these days probably 500-1000 per month if even that is what its costing, autists here ported all the code over to a more linix friendly deployment and slashed all the costs about 12 months ago made me weep a little
We dont want to be popular and neither does the site owner tbh I can only imagine operating one of the last bastions of free speech on the net is a fucking nightmare.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if something with tech to last is the solution? https://steemit.com/trending/greatawakening We are going to need something and popularity in regards to freedom is not a bad idea. ;-)

Steemit is a good platform, I think until we find a system that is decentralized this is just a game of whack-a-mole really though in the long run. Voats defences are good better than most others but where there is a will to cause disruption there is a way.
My only advice to you is to think for yourself around here many accounts have been bought and sold over the years so try to take users on face value sometimes and dont look at acount age or points. The $hills here are different than what you are used to. I have noticed two groups 1. Advanced higly effecient merchants of subversion and consensus cracking 2. JDIF & shariablue newhires who have not got a hope in achieving anything but get sent here for practice

Thanks for taking the time. Interesting, you have gotten two downvotes already. Must have hit a nerve with your advice. ;-) I see a shill already on Steemit. https://steemit.com/@motherlibertynow At least his Q posts make little sense and though upvoted, have very few comments.
