Shouldn't Iodized salt still prevent this? It's not like it's vanished from the market, Morton's Iodized Salt is seemingly as available as ever.

Did you read the post? It's also the more expensive and (((popular))) option, which spells trick to me. The post is new to me, but not surprising.

Basically, sea salt doesn't contain any iodine, which means that you lose the "benefit" of iodinized table salt.

"Iodine" was only put in Salt to prevent caking.

No, it definitely was added to prevent goiter. Diets full of processed food don't get enough iodine.
