So I was hashing it out, looking into stuff myself and noticed something that I've not seen anyone talk about.
Putt said he was going to get on a regular schedule to post updates.

I will get on a regular schedule after this month by posting a GOAT statement on the 1st (or closest business day after) starting next month.
That was 11 months ago.
To me thats more fishy than anything else. I don't know or understand anything bitcoin. I don't care about what people say about his "tone" on a certain day. I don't even really care that he doesn't fix bugs too often. But saying you're going to do something (something this simple) and then just not doing it rubs me the wrong way.

Problem is I don't have the time manage Voat as a business. I'd think that just keeping it up and running (mostly) would satisfy users but people always want more from me.
It's like people think I have nothing but Voat in my life and I'm just flat out neglecting it.
I can't do enough to satisfy this community.
Plus I'm burned out big time. I'd invite anyone to put the amount of hours I've put into Voat over more than THREE YEARS, not ever getting paid for a single one, writing a massive ground breaking framework to give the community a new voice (BY MYSELF), only to be met with an onslaught of criticism and anger and then to treat Voat as a priority.
It's not a conspiracy. It's rather simple.

I understand, having put countless hours and years into projects that didn't pan out.
Your options are plain to see; do nothing and lose voat when something similar happens again, or delegate and risk shenanigans and drama. Anyway, you make backups, so it's not a huge risk. There is some motivated guy that made poal.co, maybe you could approach him to take on some of the operation of this site rather than just plan for its demise?
You haven't made any effort to be paid. People have been wanting to buy ads and merch, but how?
