Problem is I don't have the time manage Voat as a business. I'd think that just keeping it up and running (mostly) would satisfy users but people always want more from me.

It's like people think I have nothing but Voat in my life and I'm just flat out neglecting it.

I can't do enough to satisfy this community.

Plus I'm burned out big time. I'd invite anyone to put the amount of hours I've put into Voat over more than THREE YEARS, not ever getting paid for a single one, writing a massive ground breaking framework to give the community a new voice (BY MYSELF), only to be met with an onslaught of criticism and anger and then to treat Voat as a priority.

It's not a conspiracy. It's rather simple.

  1. Time to include paying yourself as part of the requirements for voat to continue running.

  2. Try to limit yourself to 40 hour work weeks. Hire some low cost people to monitor & take care of low level simple tasks for you.
