This bill is being voted on in the House which will be the death of our beloved Voat, we cannot allow this to happen, WRITE, EMAIL and CALL your Congressman!!!

If this law passes all (((they))) have to do to shut down ANY site is to False Flag sex trafficking and the Feds will move on the site's owners; namely our beloved @puttitout. This must be stopped at all costs!

I understand OP's concern with the false flag attack to get Voat shut down but my question is how will FB & Twatter survive? BLM, Antifa, & ISIS are allowed on both of those platforms with no repercussions. Whatever loophole social media giants use to escape culpability should be used by Voat, GAB, etc

The loophole you're speaking of is 'selective enforcement', which is another word for 'privilege.'

This isn't something that can be exploited. Bigger platforms will just be given exceptions. Smaller platforms won't. Anyone arguing in favor of smaller platforms will be shot down as "supporting human traffickers over some small social media platform that obviously doesn't have its act together and is intentionally skirting the law" or some horseshit.
