This bill is being voted on in the House which will be the death of our beloved Voat, we cannot allow this to happen, WRITE, EMAIL and CALL your Congressman!!!

If this law passes all (((they))) have to do to shut down ANY site is to False Flag sex trafficking and the Feds will move on the site's owners; namely our beloved @puttitout. This must be stopped at all costs!

If it's an issue, perhaps don't store user images locally, until legal advice can be obtained; if voat only holds text it shouldn't be accountable. Perhaps take steps to move the domain as well. External images could be linked and embedded. @PuttItOut Perhaps this is already done; haven't checked the implementation.

Unfortunately "trafficking" can be accomplished by text. Not as great a case in court but good enough to bring a case in court. How many site owners want to face a Federal judge? My guess would be zero.
