MESHNET ago

I gave up on my old account because it seems that this entire site consists of shills and bots but I guess I'll give it one more try.

ATTENTION VOAT USERS! I'm freely giving you a trillion dollar idea that will create free communication for the entire world!

This site is hosted on and accessed through a compromised network, so intentional of not, Voat IS a honeypot! The corporate/government internet was started by DARPA! https://www.darpa.mil/

THE INTERNET WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE FREE OR FAIR!

If you truly want a way to spread ideas and communicate freely, without government intrusion, open source, decentralized, p2p meshnet development is the only path to that goal. Begging the psychopaths in charge to protect your rights to use their services will get you nowhere!

Here's the only way it will work with currently available tech:

Someone will need to modify the open source diaspora code in a few ways:

The first step will be to extend the packet hand off time from three hours to at least three days. This way, if people access the network at least once every three days, they won't lose any federated info.

Next, pics and video will need to be disabled in order to lower bandwidth and prevent sabotage by gov forces posting CP.

Then, the code needs to be altered so a small cryptocurrency bond must be put up to open an account. This bond will grow and shrink in accordance with the crypto market. It might be a good idea to start a totally anonymous meshnet specific crypto$. It could be called meshcoin if someone's not already using it. When someone is banned from the network due to community flagged abuse, their bond goes towards incentivizing community moderators that are randomly chosen from a pool of high reputation users and transceiver node builders/maintainers. If someone quits the network in good standing, they get their entire bond back, including the value that it's gained. This will incentivize early adopter/s/developers to do whatever they can to expand the network because once the network grows and their bonds gain value, they can quit, cash out, and make a new account whenever they want.

A community moderation system will need to be installed so that members with a good reputation are randomly chosen to moderate posts that are flagged by the community. Once a user gets a certain number of verified flagged posts, they are banned and their bond gets used for network growth and moderation incentives.

A backup sneakernet system will need to be established to transfer communication between local nodes in cases where p2p or long range repeaters don't work or are disabled. Truckers could plug thumb drives into local nodes as they complete their routes, and be entitled to some of the forfeited bond money for their services.

Federated info could be checked for accuracy by using blockchain technology. Maybe some of steemit's code could be applied here?

Also, setting up a system where users can sell of freely share their DARPAnet connections will be a good idea until the meshnet gains coverage.

Hyperboria/Project Meshnet has decent routing software figured out.

Solar/wind powered repeater drones could be built with forfeited bond money and deployed to spread the network, leapfrogging the information over mountains and uninhabited areas. Wind/shock/solar/12v powered mini repeater nodes that automatically connect and spread federated info could be magnetically attached to taxis, buses, UPS trucks, and semi's.

THIS IS A REAL SOLUTION THAT IS POSSIBLE WITH CURRENT TECHNOLOGY! Basic nodes can be built for the cost of an old router.

All that's needed is a few people that are good at coding to tie already developed open source software together and a few people that want to invest a little bit of their time and money to build and maintain nodes. Forfeited bonds can repay them once the network is established and fund operating costs.

I have a strict policy of not meeting online contacts in person but I put all of the necessary information here for someone to form a group, take these ideas and run with them. If this group is formed, I'll join in and participate as much as I can.

As I said above, Voat is a honeypot, whether intentional of not, simply because it operates over a corp/government controlled network. I would recommend that the initial group that forms use in person interaction, far away from smart phones and IOT devices, and snail mail to communicate until the project is rolling on it's own, is too big to stop, and has spread organically over the darpanet. This core group could write the code in a way where they get a small percentage of the forfeited bonds as well, making this a potentially extremely lucrative endeavor that will make facebook's financial success a joke in comparison. The people that enable free communication to the entire world will get rich beyond their wildest beliefs, and not by taking money from good people, but by taking money from spammers, scammers, and assholes. You will be heroes to the entire planet but will have to remain anonymous to protect your safety. If this type of network grows big enough to cut into the profits of the establishment, they'll do everything they can to stop it.

Someone already pm'd me to let me know that this system would be too easy to abuse. I asked them how.....no response. There won't be a valid response because it's bombproof.

Another pm from a user that doesn't understand forums, or doesn't want to make their ignorance and negativity public:

"No the problem is you misunderstand human nature. your post implies that people are just going to naturally cooperate and facilitate this freedom. If history has taught us anything it's that humans are always the weak link in the equation."

My response: Why are you sending me pm's when you obviously don't understand how open source software and blockchain tech works? Why not post in the thread so others can address your questions? Also people with the same questions as you will have access to the answers, which saves everyone's time and is the entire point of a forum format.

This system actually feeds itself with the disgusting nature of civilized subhumans. Anyone abusing the system can be flagged. Those flags can be investigated by moderators that are chosen at random. Anyone can lose their account. If someone sees that another user, even a core developer, is abusing the system, they can put a request into the moderation que and it will be handled by the community.
