Bullcrap. The darknet is to hard to reach for the average person. Also, over time, they'll slowly demonize the darknet, and because you don't have enough people looking at the internet alternatives, public option will turn against you and criminalize any internet that cannot be monitored.

This is all about consolidating control of the internet into the hands of a few large conglomerates like youtube, facebook, reddit, etc. that can afford to police their content. Alternatives will be put out of business because they cannot afford to hire "moderators". To suppose that the dark net will save us is foolish.
