Helicopter set down 60 minutes into flight, waited, lifted off.

Plane took off when helicopter lifted off second time, found the same course as the helicopter, flew to 4000 feet, and dropped 2000 feet into it. 12 minute flight. It wasn't an askew (different directions) collision - they were on the same exact path. The plane dropped 2000 feet and sped up at last few minutes, just to make contact.

ON THE SAME HEADING.

At six o'clock pm, there were no logs of the flight. At eight, the logs finally showed up.

Here's a time-scaled overlay of the speed and altitude. Plane sped up and peaked about 3 minutes (my eyeball-guess) before impact. Note that the plane log starts when the plane is already in the air, at speed. Flight probably started at 11:45. The speed curve is level until it hits its peak altitude, and then accelerates. Look at the logs again.

Trainers stall out at 50 or so - it was doing 75 when it crested.

The radar logs confirms that these two callsigns both "ended" at noon at same approximate location.

I've never seen a delay in the database before.

The flight ended at 1200. at 1800, still no logs, 2000, logs. Not sure exactly when they updated, but they should be in real time. The transponder had to be off, then on again - probably when found in custody, maybe by accident.

I don't know models, but the heli should be easy to figure out.

There are old landing strips at both of the E/W turns for the heli flightpath. The E turn is almost DEAD over a disused helipad. Does anything indicate that the heli pilot landed at either point? The plane was the training flight right? Not the heli?

The heli landed then took off again after 60 mins filight. 12 minutes in the next flight, it was struck by the plane. According to the media, there is nothing said about the heli being a student in training. Actually anything about anyone in the heli isn't very detailed. Maybe someone can dig up something.
