I was hoping for some sort of sidebar instead of the little popup menu for the Dissenter comments (that reloads from scratch each time it's closed, losing your place).

To answer @virge, yes, I had the same popup. SmartScreen blocks the execution of the executable since it doesn't recognize it. Right click on the file and go to properties, at the bottom, activate the "unblock" option.
I run many new executable programs all the time and I never get this pop up. Just seems extremely suspicious to me that I all of a sudden get it for Dissenter.

After 30 seconds I just went back to Brave.

It does mean that windows will send a request over the internet for each executable you run to see if it a known malware. SmartScreen can be disabled: https://www.howtogeek.com/75356/how-to-turn-off-or-disable-the-smartscreen-filter-in-windows-8/

Yeah. Frankly, the whole smart screen thing is nebulous. IIRC, the other time I got the popup was for another browser…

I'm sure it will take time to refine things.

Is there an option to open a new tab everytime I type in the address bar instead of reusing that tab? Can't find it and that's a show stopper for me.

Is it available for mobile?

How is this better or worse than brave

From what I understand, dissenter browser is a fork of brave browser, but with the dissenter extension built in.

I couldn't get Brave to install dissenter before so this is good.
