We are undoing all bans. We apologize for taking the wrong approach here on Voat - this is a transition for us all, unplanned and unprepared for. We've made mistakes. We are under attack here for this reason and others. Voat members are justifiably pissed at us. Shills are taking the opportunity to spread dissension.
Stay strong. Stay together.
From this point forward, 8ch.net/patriotsawoken will be our default home and ultimate fallback from censoring sites and social media. Any other site is playing by someone else's rules and will be raided and overcome. Voat, if we can ride out this transition phase, may be a soft onboarding for 8chan.
Whatever happens, be sure, Patriots: the home of GreatAwakening is now 8ch.net/patriotsawoken.

How about you try integrating with voat rather than creating your own reddit ghetto?
You do know we have had our own Q related subverse here for some time?
why not come point people to /v/GreatAwakening?
IrritableGimp ago
Speaking for myself, I've been on Voat since i first knew it existed (appx. 1 month ago). I took Q's warnings serious, and started looking around.....found Voat and a plethora of other interesting sites. I have no clue what is going on with the two groups (GreatAwakening and theawakening), nor do I really care. I can't speak for others, nor will I try to do so, but being uprooted from a "home" can be a bit dramatic on some. It'll work itself out in time.....patience!
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
voat has existed for years and the only reason you didn't know is because you don't care about anyone's rights besides your own, you faggots aren't real patriots
Bludgie ago
Clearly "real" patriots think black people are chimps. Oh, the science!
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
the real patriots are the ones that believe in the principals enshrined in the first amendment, kill yourself you stupid faggot
Bludgie ago
You kill yourself, you Darwin award wannabe. You don't stand for free speech, you brownshirt thugs.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
you don't even understand what free speech means you nigger
Bludgie ago
Apparently it's bullying and brigading other people who want to speak so they all go away.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
if you need to ban other people, and delete posts and comments for criticizing your mods to speak then you're a faggot
Bludgie ago
If you need to tell other subs how to run, you're a totalitarian busybody.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
oh yes of course, real high IQ on you, me criticizing you mods for censoring people is the real censorship. How dare I speak out against your owners. Just imagine that, imagine the horror of this place that I can criticize you for needing a safe space, and criticize your mods for making one. And I won't even get banned for doing so. Truly I'm the embodiment of fascism itself HOW DARE I SPEAK IN YOUR HUG BOX.
I'm just so mean.
Bludgie ago
Straw man. I do not give any fucks that you criticise our mods. I give a fuck that you dictate how our forum must be. Interesting Nanny-state "freedom." You should be politicians.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
see this comment? you made this comment, and it clearly shows you caring about what I say to your mods
Bludgie ago
I'm sure I have no idea what you said to my mods. But since they couldn't post anything from downvoting, I don't know how that isn't censorship. You prevented them from functioning in the way that almost 300,000 people liked and enjoyed.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
you can't get downvoated if you don't post any comments in the first place dumbass, the reason they can't post isn't because they're all in the negatives it's because the overwhelming majority of them are at 0 CCP because they refuse to interact with the rest of the site and earn the measly 10 CCP they need to post, and even without that they can comment
Bludgie ago
The whole fact that anyone can get downvotrd into silence is censirship, regardless of whether that happened to the mods, dumbass.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
you can still comment no matter how little CCP you have dumbass, you can't "get downvoated into silence"
Bludgie ago
You're the ones bragging about how you can make someone's account useless. All I know is I want to answer something and I can't fucking speak--for an hour. I can't post about something that hasn't already been posted by someone else. I've had more freedom working as a slave 80 hours a week for Scientology.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
when did I brag about that? overcoming the CCP restrictions is extremely easy if you participate in the broader website, plenty of people come here and have no trouble with this. The problem here is that you lot refused to do so and stayed in your insular little safe space instead
Bludgie ago
I actually came here and signed up for other subs, and I have made comments outside of my sub. That you cannot see that limiting speech is not freedom of speech is not my problem. It's the most insane justification for hypocrisy I've ever seen.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
do immigration laws and the legal immigration process limit the freedoms of immigrants?
Bludgie ago
Yes. Like they can deny me citizenship for the groups I associate with. So even reading the Q stuff, I'm like, is that going to get me in trouble?
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
I don't see how the restrictions voat has on new accounts are all that different from a legal immigration process
Bludgie ago
"Legal" immigration isn't "free" immigration. They're the complete opposite. Regulating speech is the opposite of free speech. I'm a legal immigrant myself, and would never assume I had a right to violate any country's sovereign borders. But it is my understanding that there was a time in the USA when legal immigration was also free immigration.
There goes my 10 comment quota... again. I guess I'll have to find something to do for an hour.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
the restrictions regulate users not speech though you can comment and therefor speak as soon as you get here. And I'm making a metaphor if that's not clear, imagine reddit and voat as countries with laws, in this context you're a refugee seeking asylum. We're very nice people we let you in and let you participate, but the ac tual citizens of this country have privaledges that you need to earn, because a country serves not everyone or the world but it's citizens. Or at least it's supposed to.
seriously make your next 10 comments on other subverses, actually participate and use the site and you'll easily earn those points. The reason you and your ilk are having so much trouble with this is because it's so seldom that you leave your little box here and venture out into the rest of the site. and I see you've done it more than most here as you don't have 0 as most of your mods did for 3 days straight, but make all ten of your next allotment of comments off of this sub, make each one on a different sub. Go to v/all and try to meaningfully add to the discussion on all the top posts and you'll probably lose the restrictions just like that. And that should've been the first thing you did when you got here
Bludgie ago
I will try, but I'm already in so many arguments that my ten comments don't go very far. And while I'm waiting to post the red error message one I get distracted with life, and by the time I come back there are so many comments to deal with I often run out. Thank you for the advice, though. I am aware now that this is an unusual situation.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
get in an argument on a different subverse at least, if you do a good job that might get you some points too
Bludgie ago
Do I get any points if everyone downvotes me? Because that's what happens every time I express my genuine opinion. I am not surprised that people disagree, but it seems a bit futile points-wise. I don't really understand the system, I guess. I haven't paid much attention to it because it had nothing to do with why I was here. But still, posting for points is counter-intuitive to me. I like to post because I have something to say. Besides, my pride doesn't want to need anything from anyone.
Rainy-Day-Dream ago
plenty of people with plenty of different views manage just fine here, stop whining
