We are undoing all bans. We apologize for taking the wrong approach here on Voat - this is a transition for us all, unplanned and unprepared for. We've made mistakes. We are under attack here for this reason and others. Voat members are justifiably pissed at us. Shills are taking the opportunity to spread dissension.

Stay strong. Stay together.

From this point forward, 8ch.net/patriotsawoken will be our default home and ultimate fallback from censoring sites and social media. Any other site is playing by someone else's rules and will be raided and overcome. Voat, if we can ride out this transition phase, may be a soft onboarding for 8chan.

Whatever happens, be sure, Patriots: the home of GreatAwakening is now 8ch.net/patriotsawoken.

Speaking for myself, I've been on Voat since i first knew it existed (appx. 1 month ago). I took Q's warnings serious, and started looking around.....found Voat and a plethora of other interesting sites. I have no clue what is going on with the two groups (GreatAwakening and theawakening), nor do I really care. I can't speak for others, nor will I try to do so, but being uprooted from a "home" can be a bit dramatic on some. It'll work itself out in time.....patience!

"Legal" immigration isn't "free" immigration. They're the complete opposite. Regulating speech is the opposite of free speech. I'm a legal immigrant myself, and would never assume I had a right to violate any country's sovereign borders. But it is my understanding that there was a time in the USA when legal immigration was also free immigration.

the restrictions regulate users not speech though you can comment and therefor speak as soon as you get here. And I'm making a metaphor if that's not clear, imagine reddit and voat as countries with laws, in this context you're a refugee seeking asylum. We're very nice people we let you in and let you participate, but the ac tual citizens of this country have privaledges that you need to earn, because a country serves not everyone or the world but it's citizens. Or at least it's supposed to.

seriously make your next 10 comments on other subverses, actually participate and use the site and you'll easily earn those points. The reason you and your ilk are having so much trouble with this is because it's so seldom that you leave your little box here and venture out into the rest of the site. and I see you've done it more than most here as you don't have 0 as most of your mods did for 3 days straight, but make all ten of your next allotment of comments off of this sub, make each one on a different sub. Go to v/all and try to meaningfully add to the discussion on all the top posts and you'll probably lose the restrictions just like that. And that should've been the first thing you did when you got here

And while I'm waiting to post the red error message one I get distracted with life, and by the time I come back there are so many comments to deal with I often run out. Let us begin with the truth.

  1. Your moderators intentionally decided to create a second Q sub on Voat. They intentionally divided the community, and sought complete Reddit-esque control over it.
  2. Your moderators and other refugees then began to instantly shit on everything that Voat.co was created to counter when they left Reddit over 3 years ago via bans, censorship, and naked voat farming.
  3. Voat's exisiting user-base called your entire bullshit agenda out within day 1.
  4. Your own moderators admitted they fucked up, and bent a knee to our culture, standards, and practices.
  5. You are still able to use Voat freely.
  6. Your bullshit Kike ridden sub hasn't been punished in any real form.
  7. The only thing hurt are your pussified feels, and pride.

Voat didn't sabotage anything. We simply stood up for ourselves, this forum, and the free speech it provides.

I have been following this situation from a distance in the past few days and I have to say that it makes me happy to see that you guys decided to take a more hands-off approach to moderation. We implemented public moderation logs to make sure moderators are held accountable by the very users they serve, and I am sure that in time you will see the benefits of this system. With focusing solely on removing spam, there is less work for you to do in general and more time to focus on things that matter. I also hope that, now that you have experienced Voat as an open and transparent platform, you will spread the word and do your part to help keep this, and any other similar platform alive. Fighting for freedom of speech is no longer optional, street protests have moved to the web, and it is up to each and every one of us to fight and protect it any way that we can. If we stay passive, things will be decided for us by the powers at be, and history has shown time and again that such decisions are never in our best interest... And it just so happens that they just loooove making decisions for us. Go figure.
