No one said you couldn't start your own subverse. They were merely stating a censorship free option exists that isn't designed to keep you hidden from the rest of the site.

Are new subverses subject to approval by admins? I mean, i wouldn't think so given the nature of voat. So if a subverse starts up and wants to keep a certain look and feel (no profanity, no racist comments...just stick to the topic and keep it clean), and if the new mods are up front about it, why does the rest of voat not just live and let live?
Is the rest of the voat community going to use downvoats to censor people who want a slice of professionalism in a discussion? Is that idea really so offensive? Are they going to intentionally shill the subverse with all the unwanted stuff?
I kinda feel like we landed here because it was 1) free, 2) already somewhat well known, 3) reasonably safe from left wing shutdowns, and 4) easy to sign up. I definitely don't get the impression that it's all that welcoming. I mean, I'm here so...whatever. I'll deal with it. I'll stick around as long as the Q posts/discussion lands here. But I'm really hoping some better site comes along where the "hosts" don't require profanity and racism out of all their communities. In case the admins are looking for opinions. This place is nuts.

Way to miss the point. Entirely. You deserve one big whoosh. There was so much wrong with how this place was set up, and it's still not being undone yet. You should be able to freely downvoat. You, as a member of the community should be able to click that button with low quality submissions and posts that don't fit what you want. Something posts something profane and quite honestly of low quality, click that downvote button. Instead, that option was removed unless you make some stupid submission getting 5 SCP here. It's entirely dumb. There are going to be users who don't like posting stuff here - they just want to lurk or participate in discussions. You don't need moderators to foster that level of decorum.
No one is requiring you guys to be profane, or "racist". However, if you can't say those very things because TPTB silence it, free speech doesn't exist and you can't discuss ideas in an honest manner.
What nuts is that you wanted a platform of censorship on a platform that loathes it. You can go back to Reddit if you wanted your safe space.

So in your judgement, is a set of agreed-upon rules in a forum to manage discussion worse than the actual deep state we're discussing?
I think you missed my point. I had no say in where the majority of GA refugees landed. I don't know who made the final decision. I'm just looking for common ground so we can get back to it. Is the set of agreed-upon rules going to cause a permanent, insurmountable rift? Or is there a way to further the work here in spite of that disagreement?
If not, then for the sake of expedience, i think we really should find another place and get on with the actual discussion. I'm hoping it can be worked out.

I would hope not to both questions. Not all goats here believe Q is real, or that Q is even a force of good. Many of us don't care about Q stuff at all. On the other hand, many do care about it. What we all agree upon is free speech is paramount.
I actually don't care what your rules are as long as users aren't being censored for dumb reasons. If you don't like being called a nigger, downvote and move on. Block the person if you need to (you could just ignore the person as well). If you're an adult, you should be able to handle that much. If you're a kid, welcome to the wild west. It's time to grow up.
Ah, so you wanted to make a point that had nothing to do with what I wrote. My apologies that I misunderstood.
On that note, you can always visit v/GreatAwakening to discuss Q stuff. It's ran by different people than you're used to, but hopefully you see that your mod team exposed themselves for the people that they are. It's a little less curated, but you're free to discuss Q stuff to your hearts content.
