The German records for Auschwitz say that about 1700 jews died there. The Germans kept very detailed records of all prisoners, which included their ethnicity. Way more Poles died at Auschwitz. The Red Cross report, released in the late '40's, put the total death toll in ALL German camps between 1933 and 1945 at around 300,000.

OP's image cites the records that we got from the Soviets after the Cold War, and it says 38,000 Jews died in Auschwitz. Still considerably less than "official" claims, but more than 1700.
