it effectively restricts the media through its advertising clients, who throw a disgruntled tantrum if the political views of their customer base are ever offended.

That's not the right's fault. Most companies are far more susceptible, in the same way you mentioned, to left wing pressure of the EXACT SAME kind. This is an actual counterpoint to what you're trying to convey. The left exerts much more force upon the media than the right does. It's why there are so many more left wing media outlets and why most of them were in the bag for Hillary. Trump got raked over the coals through out the ENTIRE campaign process, at the behest of leftists exerting political pressure. It's what sells newspapers/magazines and subscriptions. It's pandering and nothing more.

As the great Albert Einstein once said: "Nationalism is the measles of mankind."

The man was an autistic with poor social regulatory skills. He's hardly a model for social policy.

This can be illustrated in the form of very deliberately accusing the opposition of their own crimes.

This is something the left does with far more skill and regular occurrence. Nobody deflects and projects more than leftists do. Everything you said following this is far more prominent among the left, although both sides are guilty.
