Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is a pediatric hospitallocated in Wilmington, Delaware. It is controlled by the Nemours Foundation, a non-profit organization created by philanthropist Alfred I. du Pont in 1936 and dedicated to improving the health of children. Historically, it was referred to as the A. I. duPont Institute for Crippled Children or more simply, the DuPont Institute.

The hospital is part of the DuPont legacy and is located on the DuPont Historic Corridor.

The medical campus is located directly east of the DuPont Experimental Station and the site also houses the Nemours Mansion and Gardens. The facility provides Delaware's only Pediatric Trauma Center, advanced inpatient and outpatient pediatric care in more than 30 specialties, intensive and acute pediatric care, as well as pediatric research.[4] The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware located adjacent to the hospital provides sleep rooms and showers for the parents and families of children receiving treatment.

The hospital offers intensive and acute inpatient and outpatient services in more than 30 disciplines. It is internationally recognized in blood and bone marrow transplantation, acondroplasia, cancer, cardiology and cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and solid organ transplantation.

A federal appeals court this week upheld the convictions of Barry Bekkedam and Brian Hartline for their roles in an attempt in 2009 to obtain $13 million in bailout money for now-defunct Nova Bank.

In a federal jury trial two years ago, Hartline and Bekkedam, a Villanova basketball player in the 1980s, were found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the federal government, fraud against the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, and two counts of false statements to the federal government.
