I cant find the article I found it on. Everyone has a different meaning for why the Pope wears red shoes but the one I found the most was that it represents the blood of past martyrs and the sacrifice they made for God. Also, it was a sign of royalty and the upper class because it cost so much for the red dye to be procured and made. Some shit like that.
