This is quite an article, i have so much to say about it i almost dont want to even start.
https://www.wired.com/story/crying-pedophile-is-the-oldest-propaganda-trick-in-the-book/amp
There is so much disinfo in this. The problem is that some of it is true. Its an extremely nuanced subject and it makes it easy for writers like this to convince others that its all just panic and there's no pedo conspiracy going on.
We know there is. But there is some truth that these accusations have served many functions in the past and that a small amount do end up being false accusations. A very small percentage of abuse victims turn out to be lying.
I still think we need to be careful. This might sound nuts, but im not convinced about tom hanks yet. I do not disbelieve or disregard sarah at all, i just feel like all we've got on tom is her story, the toddlers and tiaras spoof, and vague posts about missing shoes. This might make people mad, but i also dont believe we have enough yet to crucify spielberg.
In any case, this article is a shame. It mocks our work here and twists reality to make people discredit abuse victims and the reality of large scale organized abuse.
This article also highlights how the left right paradigm is hurting our cause. There are voaters and pedos on both sides. I truly think moving away from that approach could be the best thing we ever did.
But yeah, we need to comment bomb the f outta this article.
