This is quite an article, i have so much to say about it i almost dont want to even start.
https://www.wired.com/story/crying-pedophile-is-the-oldest-propaganda-trick-in-the-book/amp
There is so much disinfo in this. The problem is that some of it is true. Its an extremely nuanced subject and it makes it easy for writers like this to convince others that its all just panic and there's no pedo conspiracy going on.
We know there is. But there is some truth that these accusations have served many functions in the past and that a small amount do end up being false accusations. A very small percentage of abuse victims turn out to be lying.
I still think we need to be careful. This might sound nuts, but im not convinced about tom hanks yet. I do not disbelieve or disregard sarah at all, i just feel like all we've got on tom is her story, the toddlers and tiaras spoof, and vague posts about missing shoes. This might make people mad, but i also dont believe we have enough yet to crucify spielberg.
In any case, this article is a shame. It mocks our work here and twists reality to make people discredit abuse victims and the reality of large scale organized abuse.
This article also highlights how the left right paradigm is hurting our cause. There are voaters and pedos on both sides. I truly think moving away from that approach could be the best thing we ever did.
But yeah, we need to comment bomb the f outta this article.

Who do you believe more - Sara or Tom?

I believe Sarah. I wouldn’t have in years past but would have thought her mentally I’ll and traumatized. That’s what the MSM will push.

There is no direct proof of Sarah's claims at this point

I understand that although there might be and we wouldn’t know. She has been verbal about this for about a year. She makes a tremendous point that no one is suing her for defamation or slander or libel. And personally I’ve done enough background research down many rabbit hole surrounding this and I believe her.

As I've said before-I personally believe her; but that does not equate to evidence her story is true. She has blocked me on Twitter for asking her questions like "have you signed a criminal complaint against your abusive family?" No answer, but lots of diatribe about all these people "questioning" her, although I understand (if this is true) she is acting out of pain from alleged unbelievable abuse; sorry, but you can't use Ashcroft's allegation that Tom Hanks is a pedophile to destroy a person's reputation. Supposedly that is why we are here on Voat, to discriminate such things. I have read Fiona's reports and find them believable also, same deal, i can't corroborate her accounts. Why would anyone lie about this? My first thought is such a person could be a plant, someone to tell all these stories and then be found to be a fraud; this would have the effect of making other such stories (that were in fact true) dubious, the desired effect. Or the person could have serious mental problems. This is a proven fact in a significant number of fantastic reports. I don't believe either of these possibilities is true, but until it can be corroborated its strictly an allegation

Every week, the layers of the onion become peeled. Most don't understand there are thousands of layers to the onion.
