Gabriel Catone and Kate [Spade] attend EDIBLE SCHOOLYARD NEW YORK, Summer Solstice Dinner, Hosted by LELA ROSE and ALICE WATERS at Home of Lela Rose and Brandon Jones on June 21, 2010 in New York City.
Edible schoolyard? WTF? What could that even mean outside of anything pedo?
LOL. 'Edible schoolyard' means that kids learn how to do gardening and grow their own vegetables and herbs, and also can later harvest what they've grown.
Many schools have these kind of projects, although they often are just called 'school garden project' etc. Actually a good thing, especially for kids who live in big cities.
The Alice Walker project is fishy for sure. But there are other 'edible' projects in many countries, the last big thing is 'edible cities', that are innocent. Often small community groups just use the term, without being connected to anything sinister.
Meaning: We should look closer into those projects that are connected to Alice Walker and her buddies.
