The only reason Scientology is considered an official religion is because they blackmailed the head of the IRS and they brought frivolous lawsuits against multiple tax agents. They were so aggravated with everything that they finally just let them have religious status so they could be tax exempt. They know that they're not a real religion they just don't want to have to deal with their s***.
