Friends of the Orphans/NPH has offices all over the fucking world. Check out their website. They sell sponsorships of orphans to churchgoers and bring orphans from S. and C. America on tour in dance troupes to raise funds and promote more orphan sponsorships. Church families host the kids in the dance troupes as they travel around raising money. This is what brought me into pizzagate.
My family hosted four of these girls for a week about ten years ago. They were uncomfortably fearful and never smiled, except at my daughter who was four at the time, whom they doted on. It seemed a little weird to me that this was culture/wealth shock, since they had been in three other cities prior to ours. At one point, I was told the youngest and saddest of them needed to be driven to an optometrist for pink eye treatment in a town about 40 miles away. I said we could take her to our pediatrician and pick up the tab, no problem. NPH insisted she be taken to this guy 40 miles away. My spouse was asked to wait in the waiting room while she went in. She was red eyed afterward. The other weird thing was the three young girls (11 to 12) had a college aged female chaperone who slept in the same room with them and went with them everywhere. She was a journalism student, but supposedly none of them spoke a lick of English. I had a funny feeling about the whole thing at the time, but it never occurred to me they might be being trafficked. The day I read Silsby had gotten her orphans from NPH, and that Maccoby was connected to Alefantis I just about lost my lunch on the spot. :-( Been here ever since!
Wow! That's definitely odd! I can completely understand how you wouldn't have suspected anything nefarious at the time, most of us here probably wouldn't have either. Until now that is!
