We can all agree, that on some level, some platforms, government agencies, and officials condone CP and CSE on the Internet, but not every one of them is nefarious and kids DO get rescued and saved, and above all, It's the law to report if you encounter illegal images of children on the interwebz. When CP or CSE Is found on Voat by admins it is deleted and reported to The National Center for Missing Exploited Children, and if you see it offsite, you all should be doing the same. If you aren't smart, you could visit a honeypot or could potentially get caught up with law enforcement confiscating your computer, not only will you be charged for saved links and images, but your search history can also incriminate you if you have visited webpages that contain CP and/or CSE.
As for posting links or images for research purposes, never post a direct link or image of illegal content. We want to explore these networks, follow the money, and bring them down, but we also need to follow the law and do everything we can to save children... purposely not reporting child abuse or sexual exploitation because you want to investigate it on your own is selfish, dangerous, and illegal. Don't be a vigilante, you are not saving children by doing this. 9/10 times, the sites remain up anyway even after reporting! So protect yourself and victims, just report! There is more information to be found on the back end like website owners, IP adddresses, connections with other networks, etc... posting CP does nothing but hurt the research community and puts your freedom and Voat at risk.
Use http://archive.is or https://archive.org/web/ for posterity
There is CP and CSE all over the internet, even on Twitter and Facebook, and they allow those links here, so posting a link to a website is not illegal if it is not a direct link to illegal content. If the website itself is extremely suspect, potentially dangerous, or its sole purpose is to share content that is deemed illegal, include a link from scamadvisor or whois website like this but not directly linking to the site, then the responsibility does not lie on the poster or Voat.
Here is a list of places to report CP and CSE:
Do not save links or images, you will incriminate yourself and be no help to anyone!

Great post, Honeybee_. Thank you very much for creating this. I will put it in the sidebar tomorrow. You might stick a link post to it in v/pizzagatemods for posterity as well.
Your edit is not showing for some reason. @srayzie made a thread in v/voatdev about this issue...maybe comment on her thread and ping the Os of that sub?

Yes, I definitely want to add that link as well, I have tried to add the recent policy you pinned repetedly this evening, and it's not saving changes.
These are the technical issues I'm experiencing at the moment regarding edits of my post:
Can't save edits to post, they remain in edit box after saving, so you can press edit again and they are visible, but only there, they do not show on post and others are also unable to see.
Votes and comment amounts differ from listing. On my end, for example, my post on v/pizzagate "hot" is listed as 20+ upvotes and 19 comments, but when I click on my post, it says 4 upvotes, 7 views...
Edits seem to be accurately recorded in top right corner, but edits are not actually visible.
Can you folks at dev help?
