People in Hollywood do not hide the fact they're working: there is IMDB and they have access to agents and other resources. Maybe she was trying to block that out and not actively looking in on him, but this part of the story is a bit weird to me.

Whether she was scared of Joel Kramer or not, she's alleging that attempted murder took place. Why wouldn't she speak up at the point that she believes that he is literally trying to kill her?
