He was arrested for aggravated assault. Even if you are making a citizens arrest, you can't commit crimes

hear ya but per the linked article, the "aggravated assault" appears to have been "grabbing the shirt" of the suspected perp (the other charges are posting the guy's info and using a taxi or similar to effectuate sting). In the US you are allowed to use reasonable force to detain. Don't know it over there but how else can u make a citizen's arrest? Sounds like an utter "bs" crime unless there are more facts

Apparently some police want to decide for themselves which pedos should be arrested and which ones shouldn't. Reminds me a lot of the D.C. police.
