It helps to know that normies (and humans in general) are 90% irrational and 10% rational overall. No amount of facts will ever convince a normie (or anybody) as long as they are significantly emotionally invested in a certain viewpoint and paradigm.
Normies are thus not MORE irrational that anyone else. It's just that their emotional investment is stuck in a different paradigm (we might call it the "old" dying mainstream fake-news-matrix paradigm).
Those who have experienced being redpilled, and having their old paradigm collapse and the new one emerge, understand that "hey, it's possible to see a completely different reality than what I was used to see just by removing old belief systems". Normies never had that experience, yet...
Knowing the above by experience makes you a lot more humble and less emotionally invested in any viewpoints (even if it is "the truth"), which again makes your view much more accurate and flexible (which is what good investigators need, right).
So, back to the poor normies who just don't seem to get it. What is going on now is that Trump and the whole movement is softening the normies hardcoded investment in their old paradigm. Getting as many fence-sitters as possible to take the redpill. The die hard normies will just have to brace for impact as the truth will shock them to the core when the shit hits the fan. Some of them might literally go totally cuckoos nest insane.
I think we need more discussion on how to handle all the shell-shocked normies once SHTF. Cause I believe that is a big part of what Q is preparing everyone for. I planned to make this a OP, but need more upvotes before I can post. Please help :)
I just cut and pasted your post to my site......to remind me and hopefully some of the obtuse normies I have spoken to so much this last year will see it....
Yea, that's a classic if they cave... "What can I do about..."
They don't understand that just being aware and informed is good enough. They don't get that concept at all. They think it will just make them more depressed to be aware of something you "cannot do anything about".
But if the majority suddenly was fully aware of everything, it would change everything. Which is what is happening right now... Being aware is good enough as it adds to the collective awareness and upvotes the "truth" paradigm and downvotes the false news matrix paradigm in the mass consciousness.
It's basic human nature, especially after a few decades of a Mockingbird Media. "It's much easier to fool someone than to convince them that they've been fooled." (Mark Twain*). This will be an uphill battle and family and friends will have to be red-pilled slowly. Accordingly, getting them to understand the extent and depth of a major median manipulation is the critical threshold task before us. A total "unplugging" of MSM for news has to happen before you can expect them to digest the terrible Big Truths ahead.
Fantastic insights. Thank you. I was thinking about human psychology and physiology and when in times of shock (the sudden loss of a loved one for instance), our bodies create chemicals which help us cope, to numb us until we can accept our new reality. We've all felt the numbness which comes after taking a red pill of some kind.
Hopefully we'll have millions of numb and shocked people, taking time to accept, rather than hospitalized. In this case, such as after 9/11, there will be a time of transition, when people begin to accept that nothing will be the same for them again. Patience and understanding will be the key, and we can convey this through SM and in real life.
Humility, empathy, understanding, strength, support, positivity, and talking about the positive changes these happenings will bring in the world, is what I believe we can bring to the table.
Whether it's on an international or national scale, our lives, when we're free, will change irrevocably for the better. We can focus on that, and all the great things we can, as humanity, look forward to.
So true. I have had to let go of my world view several times: first, when I learned the full truth of the Catholic church's cover-up of sexually abusive clergy. Second, when I could no longer hold my view of the Bible as the literal truth. And third, during the 2016 presidential campaign. I was a Sanders supporter, and we all know how that went down. So, yes, it is extremely painful to let go of cherished beliefs. People can lose jobs, friends, even family. There must be a built-in response that makes us cling to old beliefs. I think we need to be aware of this and respond to people with patience.
I hear you. For me it was 9/11 that literally demolished my old paradigm and hurled me down the rabbit hole. I never looked back. Been waiting many years for what is now finally happening. Been hard living "undercover" for so many years, but finally showtime is here.
Every day new stuff is coming out. Never seen so much buzz and electricity in the air. It's exciting to say the least. Trump is doing an amazing job. How he can keep so calm and witty with that kind of pressure on him is just incredible.
I only woke up when Pizzagate hit...I went from normie tea party type to fairly deep in two weeks.....I thought I was going insane and having a breakdown....then I just calmed down...realized it was real.....then I wanted the shooting to start.....I kept hoping it would light off last year. I then tried to wake up everyone I am in normal contact with....and other than my wife and daughter.....none of these other fuckers can open their eyes.
9/11 was my first rabbit hole and it never really left me, but the rest of my reality stuck within the "matrix". Not until the after the Republican primaries in 2016 did I start to question everything, the first domino being the media. Followed by finding speeches and books by Andrew Breitbart which led to understanding hollywood/pizzagate and academia and the whole Social Marxism paradigm. What a crazy ride the past two years has been, for me and I know for a lot of people. Whether you agree/disagree or support/dont support Trump, if nothing else he has helped redpill a lot of people and helped them see the world in a different light.

Why redpilling "normies" is so hard
It helps to know that normies (and humans in general) are 90% irrational and 10% rational overall. No amount of facts will ever convince a normie (or anybody) as long as they are significantly emotionally invested in a certain viewpoint and paradigm.

They can be convinced, but they always say "what can I do about it?" They'd be happier living their normal lives and pretending none of this happens.
