It can't hurt I suppose... we always want to find symbols that have context/meaning... they are rather simple. It's easy to confuse a normal "swirl" with this symbolism IMO. However, if there happens to be context (the artist, the location, past events/crimes) paired with the symbol, that's when it could become a potential data point.
