Thanks to @cantsleepawink, I noticed Ambassador Paolo Zampolli of the United Nations mentions UNkids.org here. This site appears as an official UN project, but I checked the records for the domain and it is registered personally by Zampolli, not the UN.
I sent an email to the address provided on the site ([email protected]) requesting information on exactly what the mission of UN Kids is. I received no reply.
I then sent an email to the actual registrar address for UNkids.org ([email protected]), which is an address for Paolo's modelling agency in NYC, and it doesn't even work.
This raises a few questions:
* Why is a UN children's project being undertaken by one man without any oversight?
* Is it simply a front for something completely different?
* Why is the website of a children's project registered to the business address of a modelling agency?
UNkids.org has been registered by Zampolli since 2014, surely if it was legit there would be information available about this apparent UN mission by now. I'm just bringing this to the attention of other researchers out there for what it's worth.
Even if it is legit, the UN having anything to do with kids is worrying.
