As I understand it, the Catholic Church opposes abortion because it is not sure when ensoulment takes place. Ensoulment is the time at which the soul enters the body. Is it at conception? Is it in the womb? What there is no argument on is the fact that when it is born, the child has a soul. So fuck off Julian Savulesco.
