The US didn't create the Taliban. We did support the mujahadeen. Those groups were different from the Taliban. The Taliban emerged years AFTER we pulled the CIA operation from Afghanistan.
Al Qaeda is not the Taliban and, of course, not even Afghan. They got to Afghanistan with their own funding.
Whether or not you want to read the reports which show that the US/CIA did in fact create and support and arm the Taliban/Al Qaeda, nonetheless it is true. And US/CIA continued to fund them even after 9/11.
