A local news article has announced the promotion of Bette Fleishman at Pegasus Legal Service for Children in Albuquerque. I found their adverttasteless to say the least.
Her LinkedIn shows she spent the last 15 years working here and in the third world with victims of sex crimes, including the New Mexico Human Trafficking Task Force. Her nonprofit Crossroads for Women has a butterfly logo that looks like two women kissing: http://crossroadsabq.org/
Her father was a famous attorney, enough to get obits in the NYT and LA Times for his role in introducing pornography into the mainstream on First Amendment grounds -- because although the Founders didn't realize it, porn is in fact a form of artistic expression.
LA Times obit
NYT obit
He defended a video store owner selling tapes with underage actresses before the Supreme Court as late as 1994 and has been honored with the "Hugh Hefner First Amendment Award" among other dubious distinctions.
Of the other daughters mentioned in the obit, I confirmed that the one in Massachusetts is a psychotherapist with an office between a preschool and a funeral home;
and the one in LA is an entertainment executive formerly of Sony, Universal, and Warner, replaced at the latter with Dee Dee Myers, famously the first female White House press secretary (Clinton's first term).

She is also a board member of the Geffen Playhouse, which is described in an article about Masonic architecture in LA:
"One of the first twelve structures erected in Westwood Village was the Masonic Affiliates Clubhouse, built for the benefit of UCLA students and alumni who were related to Masons. Designed by the prolific Morgan, Walls & Clements, the clubhouse hosted ping-pong tourneys, tea dances, Mardi Gras balls, and study sessions until its conversion in World War II to a US Army barrack. " Many A-listers involved there: http://geffenplayhouse.org/about-our-board?mb=1

Wow, great post. Interesting as hell. Upvoat. As for the logo, yeah. At first glance it reminded me of an angry cat face. Then I saw the butterfly. And then I saw the two, ahem, ladies. I've noticed from the start that frigging lawyers seem to be deeply enmeshed in all this. In this one post you've tied in some key people with the power to okay substantial roles in all this. Holy shit. Great job, great leads.
