Deerfield Academy had to pay a former student $500,000 who alleged a coach abused him The Western Massachusetts prep had to pay out $500,000 in a 2016 lawsuit brought by a former student who charged now-deceased English teacher Bryce Lambert with sexual abuse while traveling for golf and squash matches. The lawsuit named two former coaches who would take the student to the teacher's car after competition where he would be abused before being driven home.
