It is extremely common for them to use middle names or change it all together. Also very common to fudge birth dates like you say. The most noticeable for me if you start to looking at multiple MSM sources you will see almost every time they deliberately misspell witness names or business or street names in stories so you cant look them up or even try to interview them. Probably because the story is faked to begin with.
