Smith's 'suicide note' indicated that his life insurance was about to expire and he wrote 'NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER. RECENT BAD TURN IN HEALTH. LIFE INSURANCE OF $5 MILLION EXPIRING'. These are NOT the words of a suicidal person. One: they'd never point out that 'no foul play' was involved. Two: they'd never clinically and, almost in third person, say 'recent bad turn in health'. Three: Smith would have known that insurance doesn't pay out on suicides.
