Thanks flyingcuttlefish. We are in the process of getting rid of the "Share a Link" button. It just causes too much grief -- and when the OP adds details in the comments, they get buried. I just doesn't work well for research posts.
Overall, voat has been a huge success. It just nerveracking to waste valuable time on a long screed posted by someone in a mood to throw eff-bombs but not in a mood to contribute new facts.
