For decades, Youngstown was a haven for organized crime, and related corruption was ingrained into the fabric of its society. A 2000 publication in The New Republic listed a "chief of police, the outgoing prosecutor, the sheriff, the county engineer, members of the local police force, a city law director, several defense attorneys, politicians, judges, and a former assistant U.S. attorney" as controlled by the Mob.
The city accelerated measures to limit the influence of organized crime upon all sectors of municipal life. The climax of this ongoing effort was the arrest, trial, and 2002 conviction of former U.S. Representative James A. Traficant, Jr. (D), on bribery, tax fraud, and racketeering charges. Although this has since been cleaned up somewhat, in 2006, Youngstown was ranked by Morgan Quitno Press, a Kansas-based publishing and research company, as the 9th most dangerous city in the United States.

The above was around 20 years ago, So you would expect that things got much better in Youngstown....
2007, A Youngstown area man painted the outside of his business to protest what he says, was police brutality directed at his girlfriend. The man claims he reported an illegal strip club to the police and that they retaliated against him for reporting it, as they themselves frequented the establishment.

2017 Why Ohio is ranked 5 in nation for human trafficking
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio ranks number five in the nation for the most human trafficking cases.
The problem is so big that a Human Trafficking Task Force was formed through the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. The operation utilizes state, local and federal law enforcement resources.
Much of the trafficking can be traced back to online peddling. The recent shuttering of the adult ads on the website Backpage.com is a good first step to help curb the problem, but the reality is Ohio’s vulnerability also comes from its infrastructure.

Great Post. Conspiracy guru David Icke wrote extensively on James Traficant's nefarious dealings and his ties to child trafficking. (Unfotunately his Interdimensional lizards cloud his otherwise stellar research) Information coincides to what David has writen about him for years.
