I'm flattered that you'd create an account just to reply to that one comment of mine. Of all the things on this thread to go to such trouble, why for that one comment? And I never said that the town came up with that name whenever it was established way back when in reference to child sex trafficking. Now you have me wondering even more if the name of the town has developed into a double entendre. So I'll say it again. "What else is going on in that town?"

I think this is a very important post, the swing, the skateboarding, the video games are obviously geared towards children. There was something going on in this building and this is getting buried how can we make sure this goes back to the top I already upvoated but maybe other people can

Totally agree!!!!!,

What could help is take/find links and create a new link posts wits included the new "hot" words:

  • Abandoned strip club
  • Abiku (spirit of death children)
  • Youngstown
  • Baltimore
  • James (jim) Traficant

Links that inform us more about the region culture area of Youngstown.

people need to see those words otherwise they can not link the context

Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youngstown,_Ohio

For decades, Youngstown was a haven for organized crime, and related corruption was ingrained into the fabric of its society. A 2000 publication in The New Republic listed a "chief of police, the outgoing prosecutor, the sheriff, the county engineer, members of the local police force, a city law director, several defense attorneys, politicians, judges, and a former assistant U.S. attorney" as controlled by the Mob.[87] The city accelerated measures to limit the influence of organized crime upon all sectors of municipal life.

The climax of this ongoing effort was the arrest, trial, and 2002 conviction of former U.S. Representative James A. Traficant, Jr. (D), on bribery, tax fraud, and racketeering charges.[88] Although this has since been cleaned up somewhat, in 2006, Youngstown was ranked by Morgan Quitno Press, a Kansas-based publishing and research company, as the 9th most dangerous city in the United States.[89]

@helpingabit12, I'm giving this a "New Evidence" flair due to the fact the pot bust guy got the judges to write letters for him...that smells to me. I think folks need to keep investigating this -- judge links especially. Maybe someone can look up the court records to see who those judges were?

SoldierofLight ago

Yes, I agree. Determining what links the three judges to one another and to the former owner of the building might be very instructive.

helpingabit12 ago

Woaaaa Amazing!, that's a crow on the work!

I seem to recall @RebelSkum and @JrSlimss had an article about how to look up court documents, which are public. If you go to Pizzagate.wiki and look up the Cernovich article about Jeffery Epstein, there should be a link to the Steemit article they wrote that talked about it. If I remember correctly. ;-)

The police in Youngstown like there (illegal) strip clubs

Read the intro text that comes with this picture

A Youngstown area man painted the outside of his business to protest what he says, was police brutality directed at his girlfriend. The man claims he reported an illegal strip club to the police and that they retaliated against him for reporting it, as they themselves frequented the establishment.

So... we know (and correct me if I'm wrong as I only speed read prior posts related to this one):

  1. The band Abiku played gigs in the basement of this abandoned restaurant. They may have also lived there.

  2. The restaurant part of the building was at one time owned by a guy named William Umbel.

  3. Umbel was busted by the DEA for buying and distributing pot through his restaurant.

  4. The pot was grown in a huge grow-op nearby.

  5. When Umbel was in court facing charges, several lawyers wrote character reference letters on his behalf. Why? What was their relationship to him? Did he have something on them to make them want to do that?

We don't know if the strip club operated while he was still around or if it came along later, maybe illegally as a sort of ad-hoc squatter's setup after the restaurant closed down.

Questions:

Did Umbel rent out the basement to the strip club after he went to prison?

Why did the strip club shut down?

If child sex trafficking was occurring at that location, why did they shut down operations? Is that typical, like illegal dance and liquor clubs?

If so, where did they go? And does the weed selling operation follow the child sex trafficking locations?

Do they get the kids incredibly high prior to raping and killing them?

What happened to the pot guys?

The band Abiku played gigs in the basement of this abandoned restaurant. They may have also lived there.

They could have had gig(s) there but this i'm not sure , i know they where inside there. Because of the poster on the wall, and the related papers on the floor the carebear.

Why i think they lived or stayed there: If you have a performance, i can imagine you bring the bear, because its also featured in there music video. but i cant understand why you would bring the lyrics and the drawings. They need to be made inside, if you made those things after a gig, then why do you leave them there ?

In the video we are only presented 2 of those papers, but there are a lot of papers(/possble other drawings) on the floor and on desks

SoldierofLight ago

Yeah, I'd have to think the drawings were made before the gig. Maybe a girlfriend or boyfriend of the band had nothing else to do while the band rehearsed? Also, since the band was touring and they were dead broke, I can see them staying there before the gig, even if for only one night.

You're good!

Pizzalawyer ago

I noticed coat racks at booth in restaurant only see that in cold country. Ohio is one of the worst damaged rust belt states, abandonment everywhere, even cleveland lost half its population.I saw a sign on side of building that said "down under" was that name of club? Was there a side entrance below the restaurant. The menu prices were outrageously high for such a crummy place 14.95, 15.95 means it could not have been abandoned too long. There had been a "good food co-op" there as well. I only watched the video that showed part of outdoors. I don't want to see the rest, too creepy, good luck.

Bill(William) Umbel + Janet Umbel - Owners

Ex-restaurateur sentenced for peddling pot

In December 2004, Umbel pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana. The time span is from at least as early as 1995 through September 2003. Vindicator files show that, over the years, Umbel's eateries included the Pyatt Street Diner on Pyatt Street and Colonial House on Market Street, both closed. Judge Economus said in court that Umbel used the diner to receive regular deliveries of marijuana and encouraged his nephew, Kevin Rouan, to participate. Rouan, who also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana, will be sentenced Thursday.

Umbel's plea agreement states that he accepted deliveries from others -- 200 to 600 pounds at a time -- for his customers. The plea agreement requires him to cooperate with the government. Umbel's Youngstown lawyer, James S. Gentile, told the judge Tuesday that his client, with failing businesses, was lured by the money to be made. Gentile said Umbel is remorseful.

Umbel's case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and overlaps with the huge indoor marijuana farm at 814 Marshall St. downtown that resulted in the indictment a year ago of Robert Arroyo and Joseph C. Pedaline, among others. Pedaline received 54 months in prison; Arroyo received 51 months. Umbel's case also overlaps with one from October 2003 that involved several defendants, including Michael Hazlett of Hubbard, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana and being a felon in possession of a firearm. A year ago, he was sentenced to 51 months in prison. "Umbel, Arroyo, Pedaline and Hazlett were friends and associates," DEA Special Agent Douglas E. Lamplugh, head of the Youngstown office, has said. "They dealt marijuana at different levels."

600 pounds of pot worth 2 million in todays money??

http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/07/random-traffic-stop-nets-600-pounds-of-weed-worth-nearly-2-million/

SoldierofLight ago

Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on massive quantities of pot, but 200-600 pounds at a time seems like a LOT to me. So that means he they were moving a lot of product to lots of customers. And yet, he had several judges who wrote recommendation letters on his behalf. Where have we seen judges involved in stuff on a large scale that's not legal?

redditsuckz ago

Using the inflation calculator around 2 million was worth about 1.5 million in 2004 and on average he was moving around 300 pounds that would be around 750k worth of pot.

6 face charges in pot factory

On Feb. 25, the DEA task force raided the enormous marijuana factory that operated out of Pedaline's warehouse, a few blocks from the B & amp;O. Agents found 3,850 plants in various stages of growth. Nationally, it was the largest indoor marijuana growing operation uncovered by the DEA this year. At the time of the raid, DEA Special Agent Douglas Lamplugh said that once harvested, the high-grade marijuana -- found growing in seven rooms -- would have a street value of $1,500 to $2,500 per pound. He said one plant generally yields 1 pound. Calculating 3,850 pounds at $1,500 to $2,500, that's $5.8 million to $9.6 million street value.

SoldierofLight ago

One of the guys reads off a piece of paper, "The State of Ohio Workers Compensation..." probably Board is the next word, and it's probably official documentation for the restaurant. That indicates to me it's located in Ohio, so yeah, I think you're right that it's somewhere there and not in Maryland.
