I had a friend who was addicted to more and more extreme porn. This was years back when streaming Internet was expensive.. He clocked up over $500 bucks on our internet account and was using our laptops while we were at work to feed his habit.
It completely took over his life. Luckily he got over it before he lost everything.
I'm glad to hear your friend got out ok. There are well known support groups for these such addicts - SLAA - is very popular and I hear, very effective.
