I'm a Catholic. Believe me, there are plenty of us adamantly against this sort of thing. The Podesta emails made clear what us "rad trads" have been saying for a while - trash is infiltrating the Church, and has been for a long while.
It's hard to fight the anti-Catholic circlejerk, though. I feel it has lowered the quality of our movement-- we're attracting Gnostics and Luciferians-- and their arguments could be so easily dismantled. Attacking the Vatican is more than a distraction-- it's a redirection of our movement to an anti-religious bent.
People had to outright lie to defend their heresies. But I suppose that every time the Church became corrupted, Satan gains a foothold.
I'm not Catholic because I have a particular attraction to Italians. I'm Catholic because I can easily prove that the doctrines were practiced by the early church.
But if I were to leave the Catholic church, it would be because they were allowing woman priests, denying Transubstantiation, removing the Deuterocanonical books, declaring Abiogenesis to be an essential doctrine, permitting cohabitation, making mock marriages, permitting divorce in trivial cases, denying the divinity of Christ, advocating any of the various heresies formerly condemned by the Church (Nestorianism, Manachaeism, Arianism, Docetism, Ophites, Antinomism, Iconoclasm, "sine operibus", "sine traditiones", Reincarnation, Santa Muerte, etc.)
We must not let our movement be co-opted by the Devil to lead people to believe in Luciferianism.
A final question on eros. Does it seem that eros is always used in a sinful way or does it merely define physical relations irrespective of whether they are sinful or not.
I think it is merely sensual without. The LXX translators were not always consistent with their translations of words. The Prov 7:18 reference is a linked to several very similar words; one of which is the noun used in Abraham, My Friend (quick plug). It derives from the sound of 'heavy breathing'! It is passion and passion is part of the way God made us. However passion is only to be released within stated parameters.
There are six words for "love" in Koine Greek, the language of the New Testament. Eros means sexual love. Period. There is no doubt or controversy about this.
