Even the mainstream media will routinely mention that sex slaves are trafficked at big sporting events, even reporting that it's the wealthy who pay for these slaves. Next to coverage of the sporting events themselves, though, human trafficking gets almost no coverage.
So far for the upcoming Final Four (the games are being played on Saturday and Monday) I've found just one local Arizona story about it:

Note Cindy McCain's involvement:
Gov. Doug Ducey addressed the Arizona Human Trafficking Council, co-chaired by Cindy McCain and Gil Orrantia, acknowledging their leadership and work within Arizona communities Wednesday, March 22.
...
A couple of weeks ago, the Council, in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family, trained more than 2,000 Phoenix Final Four volunteers on key indicators related to identifying victims and connecting them to services, a release states. Each volunteer was given an indicator card that included numbers to report incidents of trafficking.
The Council, in partnership with the Arizona Broadcasters Association, will also air educational public service announcements during the Final Four.
I also discovered that an anti-trafficking group, End It, put on a protest at the 2013 Final Four in Atlanta by modifying a box truck so that the walls were glass, and then having women sit in the truck and act like sex slaves. The truck was driven through the streets of Atlanta:

An End It video says that the average age of sex trafficked girls is 14.
And story on traffickers being sentenced for trafficking minors at Atlanta's Final Four:
