For sure none of us are perfect, and I only come to the defense of Dave not because I thought Voat was against him, but because the image of him being made a mockery of made me support him that much more. I'm not sure about anything regarding Dave's personal life, and I honestly don't care. He's a reporter to me, reporting on the well-being of little ones world wide. That he really sleeps with a loaded pistol at night, I have no doubt.
I just hate the way he is always asking for donations, and that he genuinely seems to feel like he should be able to live off the donations based on what he has contributed. IMO he has not contributed jack shit, but that doesn't make him an enemy, just selfish. I like Webb a lot though.

I can see where you are coming from as this is an extremely emotional issue, I think it weighs on all of us spiritually and emotionally, honestly. Still, I have to work to pay my mortgage and have little time to do what Dave does. I don't think he could have reached all of the people he has without living off donations. We are donating to a cause that takes the burden off our shoulders, and I'm ok with that. There is an article talking about Dave being a snake oil salesman, and maybe some is true, maybe not. But I do know that we all change as over time. The man I a today is leagues wiser and morally superior than the younger man I was in my twenties.
