We need to fuck YouTube up somehow.

Womb_Raider ago

Yeah, by creating an alternative that works just as well without censorship.

There are alternatives which we've very quickly forgotten about . . . and I'm struggling to think of the names and URL's -- https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylc=X3oDMTFiN25laTRvBF9TAzIwMjM1MzgwNzUEaXRjAzEEc2VjA3NyY2hfcWEEc2xrA3NyY2h3ZWI-?p=YouTube+alternatives%2C+similar+websites&fr=yfp-t&fp=1&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8

I began to look into other sites and then quickly forgot the importance of supporting them and checking in regularly. I think some of the videos/investigators who stuff was pulled at YouTube had moved to other sites.

Speaking for All of the non-techi masses, I totally agree and while cannot provide the tech assets, can provide financial assets. One of you very talenteds needs to come up with a good alternative.. Not fuckin vid me...there are plenty of us oldies that have capital to invest in worthwhile projects

Exactly, we're the majority anyways. Seriously. They left makes it seem like they have more support than they actually do using cheap dirty tactics like we're seeing.

Impossible. YouTube bought a fuck ton of fiber optic back during the .COM boom. Their bandwidth expenses are impossibly low. And they still hemorrhage money. You know how many clones have been spawned in past years? Gab from Twitter, Voat from Reddit, vid.me and Vimeo from YouTube...and nothing ever takes them down. The sleeping masses are their lifeblood. People like us switching platforms changes nothing.

Well, in this instance streaming via another channel would afford us the opportunity to actually be received by anyone presented with a link. Whether we might hurt their market share or not, we would nevertheless retain the opportunity to disseminate coverage of the protest without censorship.
