I have no idea about Gowdy but I assure you as someone who has followed Ron Paul and his son Rand for a very long time, Rand Paul is not compromised. His father was a congressman with an impeccable record. "They" tried to get rid of him many times. Rand knew all the pitfalls they were capable of laying for him long before he was elected. You think he would be such a thorn in the side of both parties if he was compromised?
Ron Paul was in Congress for 30+ years. Even if he went in there "clean" (doubtful; see following), there is no way he survived 30+ years in the beltway without becoming dirty.
