To be fair people in the US don't have to explain shit about their taste in art. No matter how weird or tasteless someone else thinks it is. Freedom and all that.

In normal circumstances I would agree but we're talking about the possibility of child abuse and torture on a huge scale here. The least they could do is to provide a simple explanation of why they collect this kind of artwork... the problem though is that there is no innocent explanation... hence the sound of crickets.

Be realistic, an explanation to his taste in art would do nothing and to my point people can have whatever taste in art they want with no explanation required. The art isn't the issue but Flynn is making it an issue which is kind of a dumb argument to fight on. Not even sure why my comment is being downvoted unless people hate freedom. The things people disagree with are the most important ones to fight for. I'm talking about art here for those too ignorant to realize that.

I'm having a hard time believing that you don't understand why you are being downvoted. Come on, this place is filled with loving parents who want to protect children from predators. What you call art is child abuse on paintings for most of us. The fact that you come here and try to argue that hey it's just art is not going to be well received and it's easy to understand why. We're here for the kids, not to protect shady individuals who want to express themselves with their creepy art.

The disgusting artwork is a strong argument, not a dumb one. It's the argument that is the most likely to wake up the masses about what is happening

That is absurd. I am also a loving parent and an artist. I'll always stand up for art and I don't give a fuck how well it is received. If you can't separate art from the person there is something wrong with you. Latching onto the art when there are so many other legitimate things to criticize is pretty petty and overall stupid. What's "creepy art" to you may be beautiful art to another. And guess what? You can both be right. and both be wrong. That's the great thing about art.

I'm not here to protect the freedom of these people, understand? Fuck their freedom. We're here for the kids.

And no, this is not art and this is not beautiful no matter how you try to spin it. If you think abused kids and dead kids on paintings is beautiful then I think there is something wrong with you, not me.

When it comes to art 1 person's freedom is everyone's freedom. You want to "fuck their freedom"? Then focus on the real shit and not his taste in art. Shit like that is why people won't take pizzagate seriously. Bad taste in art isn't a crime. Art you don't like isn't a crime either.

And no, this is not art and this is not beautiful no matter how you try to spin it. If you think abused kids and dead kids on paintings is beautiful then I think there is something wrong with you, not me.

I never said it was beautiful, why do so many people have trouble with reading comprehension. What I'm saying is people have a right to whatever art they want and someone's art choice doesn't make them whatever kind of person they are. and that latching onto the art when there are so many other legit things is stupid. You can make all the stupid inferences and judgements you want but you're just being distracted from the real issue. None of this means I support him and am not also here for the kids. I don't know how much simpler I can make it for you.

Shit like this is why people will take pizzagate seriously. I'm convinced most people see these images and immediately think "What the fuck is wrong with these people?". I'm not saying we should put them in jail just for that. Of course not. But this raises huge red flags. If I had these kind of paintings in my house, no one would want to be my friend and no one would want to leave me their kids. They would be damn right. Who in their right mind could trust a dude who fill his house with paintings of abused or dead children? No one. Your instinct will scream to you to back off from this individual, to turn your back and run as fast as you can. That's because it is not normal for a human being to enjoy these kind of things. Most people realize this instinctively.

Like I said, we won't throw anyone in jail because they like these paintings. This is not the issue. The issue is that in the context of pizzagate, these paintings are extremely significant.
