Clarification about Google censoring pizzagate searches (pizzagate)

I keep seeing people say that Google is censoring all voat.co/v/pizzagate searches when in reality they are censoring the SINGLE link that was in the DCMA take down list or URLs, which is for https://voat.co/v/pizzagate and that is the link that is being hidden. It is not censoring other links from voat for pizzagate.

My bot is working just fine for finding new and old posts and when I searched pizzagate just now, voat is the third result - http://i.imgur.com/gWpE5vc.png

At the bottom you see it censored 1 result

That result is the https://voat.co/v/pizzagate link

I just want to make sure that disinfo isn't being spread based on a misunderstanding and please question those trying to enact large changes based on this misunderstanding, like moving to change the general name of the investigation to #SaveTheKids or whatever. It is IMO not needed and counter-intuitive at this point in the investigation.

for the second time, I am not arguing with you. I question your motives if you think using #pedogate is THAT bad of an idea. That is an idea that is floating widely with nothing to do with the censoring discussion

I correct them yet they don't delete their disinfo post or show any inclination that they acknowledge they are wrong. I make a thread showing proof, and they just comment in opposition against the one sentence that is least related to this posting, "be wary of those trying to rebrand pizzagate based on disinformation"

I know I come off as crass and abrasive, but I don't have time or patience for people who will parrot disinformation yet refuse to self-correct when it is brought to their attention.

You should have spelled out that you expected me to delete my post - I didn't know that was what you were saying. When it was deleted that was fine with me.

I have asked roundhouse 1776 to do the same. I've never even heard of them, much less argued with them. When shills change their names all the time then yes perhaps under another name I have said something but I protect the forum fiercely and I have a great reputation except with 2 mods that want to allow harrassment doxing and vigilante justice posts and bigotry - I have always thought they were wrong to allow that stuff here and had go rounds about it but that was months ago now.

I'm not going to let these unfounded attacks over nada stand unanswered.

EDIT: roundhouse1776 who didn't lose a chance to jump in and comment to you that he and I had argued "on several occassions" is a liar, a shill and has been exposed today on this thread https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1700438.

His lie about our non-existent "arguments" alerted me to his shillery, but many others are aware of it as you can see on that thread including mod abortionburger.

It was just a misunderstanding. On here it's like bumper cars. He or she has been around here longer than me, they're pretty well respected ... I understand what you're saying but they didn't mean any harm, it was just a quick comment off the top of the head, something they'd been mulling over for a while ... I mean the whole "what are we going to call it thing."

I asked mods to flag their thread as disinfo, they just deleted it instead. So it is taken care of either way.

You're right, I just now got the same result as you ... hours ago though the pig guy troll was number one when I googled pizzagate, then it disappeared.

Branding is important, if you change from pizzagate you will lose months of branding equity, not smart.

Engine search results go up and down due to a bunch of variables, but there is also what is called SEO and there are black hat SEO and white hat SEO methods.

So, disinfo agents will use SEO to bring other results further up on the list to bury a result they want hidden. This has nothing to do with DCMA censorship.

Just a FYI of what you could of seen happening.

I understand SEO pretty well, thanks. It's almost as if google had to be in on it (which might be a stretch), but I don't know. It was a pretty fast climb to the top. I understand blackhat. And the good guys still lose sadly.

HI bopper - I disgree. We are two months in, pizzagate has too much baggage. Better to change now still early in. But change to #pedogate which is already fairly widely expected.

You might be right, but it would have to be done pretty quickly. If baggage is significant yes.

I'm in marketing. Just recently when a successful company came to us to have his family biz logo changed, after he'd had it for decades (granted, decades is a long time, not months, like pizzagate), first thing our (small) team said was, "Why do you want to change it?"

It can be done but it's risky. Coca-cola and Apple and others have had to do this type thing but it was an evolving thing, over years. That's of course not a good apples to apples comparison.

So, I guess everything would need to be weighed ... but I def understand what you're saying. Glad I don't have to make that decision! :)
