Sorry you feel that way. I guess someday you'll find out if your right or not. Better HOPE your right. But there seems to be a fair amount of people that believe in Satan, just like people believe in God.
Also, I've tried to explain that I don't believe all Satanist are pedophiles, and not all pedophiles are Satanist. But there is a group of Satanist (I don't know how big) that are pedophiles, and they do kidnap, rape and kill people in satanic rituals.
I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to believe that myself. 6 months ago I would have laughed and called you an idiot if you told me that there were real, honest-to-god ritual Satanists who actually met and sacrificed children. Now I've seen too much evidence that there is actually a ritual element to this whole thing and I'm unsure.
That is not cool for me, because: 1. I believe that there is no circumstance where it is permissible to intentionally harm a child (except maybe in some game theory scenarios that never happen in real life), and I fucking hate pedophiles and believe that every one should hang; 2. It's really annoying when people trash on Satanists because of some cult of pedocannibal whackos they think are us.
Okay the quote I gave you doesn't specifically say Jack Parsons dabble in pedophila, and he may never harmed a child. But we know there's a link between Satanist and pedophiles. I think the core members of the church of Satan moved from, adultery and incest to pedophile to help boost their magick.
There are probably Satanist pedophiles, but most of us would be every bit as appalled by them as you would. And LaVey and his buddies were out there cats, personally I think the way they acted verged between the comical and the asinine.
Magic in LaVeyan satanism has nothing to do with the supernatural. It's basically cheap psychological trickery to put you into different mental states. Personally I never touch the stuff and I think it's pretty stupid.
Glad to hear that. But have you ever heard his son Anthony LaVay talk about his father's temple? Anthony claimed he saw terrible things done to children. He says his dad and counsel of 13 castrated him because he refused to take his father's place in the church.
You may think alot of what he says is crap, but I don't know of any guys that would admit to having no balls, so they can make their dad and his temple look bad.
If your talking about that quote I sent you, it's from this book: Pendle, George (2006). Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons. Orlando, FL: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. ISBN 978-0-15-603179-0
That's what Im trying to explain Satanist like you that are NOT pedophiles. Satanism at its core (the hiarchy of the satanic tremple) practice magick and indulge in pedophiliac rituals and murders.
I stumbled up on this fact when I was researching L Ron Hubbard. His second wife Sara was a member of Aleister Crowley's Temple.
Sara was having an affair with her sister, Helen's husband Jack Parsons, before L. Ron showed up and stole her from Jack. Jack later claimed that the incest and affair he had with Sara had gave him what he need to work his magick:
** Parsons told himself that his affair with Sara (whom he called Betty) marked a KEY step in his growth as a practitioner of magick: "Betty served to affect a transference from Helen at a critical period ... Your passion for Betty also gave you the magical FORCE needed at the time, and the act of adultery tinged with incest, served as your magical confirmation in the law of Thelema.
Fyi..Jack Parsons is an interesting guy. He developed the first jet engine. Help found the company Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and JPL is located at NASA.
You're goddamn right I'm not a pedophile. Pedophiles are disgusting perversions who need to be burnt out of the social fabric. Harming an innocent is one of the most horrific things a man can do, and should be met with the harshest punishment a society permits.
Anyways, I don't believe in magic in any supernatural sense. The magic practiced by LaVey was just cheap psychological trickery and manipulation imho, and I don't go near the stuff.
Yes, I know. I've heard Satanist say they don’t believe in either God or Satan. I've heard them say they call themselves Satanist for shock value! But my question is why even bother? If you don't believe in Heaven or Hell, why join a church just to mock something you don't agree with, or like?
It's not for shock value, it's because the ethical system we practice is the antithesis of the weak moral code preached by your pathetic stick god. Satan represents the adversary of the blind belief and self abnegation that Christianity represents. I guarantee that if you meet a Satanist in real life (and you have I'm sure) they would never, ever mention it because it's a personal code, not a religion.
Love is not weak. Love binds us, love gives meaning to our social constructs, love is - for the luckiest of us - the bond that holds our best relationships together. Why do you say that love is weak?
Kindness is not weakness. Kindness in a man may reveal a generous spirit, a benevolent nature, a willingness to give of the self. You must be careful of kindness though, some wear it as a mask to hide great darkness and cruelty. Kindness shows great merit in the giver, but it must be a voluntary giving. Under no circumstance should a man be expected to be kind if he feels it is not deserved.
Did you even read what I wrote? Satanism isn't about being selfish, it's about the fundamental self. Each one of us is a (more or less) equal consciousness in a vast, cold, and uncaring universe. Satanism is about the relationships between different actors, each of whom have a different self, different motivations, goals, aspirations, needs, beliefs, desires, and places in the world. A Satanist realizes that his own self is not fundamentally different from that of others except insofar that it is his own.
Well, for myself and the majority of Satanists I've talked to, it's not a church. I mean, we don't gather together and do Satany things together. I'm sure there are some Satanists who do, but I've never talked to them. It's a personal ethical code.
Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
Don't tell others your problems unless you're sure they want to hear them.
Be respectful in other people's territory.
If somebody in your territory annoys you treat him cruelly and without mercy.
Do not make unwanted sexual advances.
Don't take things you don't own unless you're asked to.
If you've used magic to obtain your desire then don't deny that it works.
Don't complain about anything you make a choice to subject yourself to.
Dont' harm children.
Don't harm animals except in self defense or for food.
When in public don't bother anybody. If somebody bothers you ask him to stop. If he won't stop then destroy him.
Let me first say, that I'm a Christian, and I do not and will not judge you, or your beliefs. Everyone has to walk his own path. 8
Some of your codes seem to be common sense. Though I know there are many people out there don't seem to have any common sense! :)
Also, let me say sorry, because I believe I'm about to break your code 1.
The thing that strikes me the most about your codes is how ISOLATING they are?
Don't talk to anyone about your problems stands out the most to me!
Everyone has problems from time to time. To have to bottle those problems up, and not talk about them seem very painful!
For me if a friend or family member has a problem.
I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT! I WANT TO HELP THEM!
Because you see for ME, helping you, or listening to you is NOT a burden. It's NOT an imposition. It makes ME FEELGOOD.
I know there are people that would say I'm make weak, emotional, or easily taken advantage of, but I'm NOT. Taking YOUR burdens on, on top of MY own burdens makes me incredibly STRONG.
My hope is that if I help YOU out when you're having a tough time, then maybe YOU'LL help me out later when I'm having a tough time.
Or, maybe you won't.
It doesn't really matter to me. You don't have too. Because like I said helping you out makes ME FEEL GOOD!
So in away it's a puely selfish act on my part. And also, my religion teaches me there's always HOPE for the future!
So I know that if in the future you decide you won't listen to me, or help me out, my God will send me someone else that will.
As a Satanist I feel I must tell you that I absolutely do judge both you and your beliefs. Judgement is the foremost attribute of mankind, it is what sets us apart from the beasts. Your religion is a farce, a social construct engineered by a ruthless elite to make you into docile herd animals so that they can slaughter you at their pleasure. I despise your religion and what it stands for, and I want to see it destroyed because I believe it is one of the worst atrocities ever visited upon humankind.
This is a forum for discussion, you're not breaking rule 1. Even if you were, they're more guidelines that hard rules like the Ten Commandments. I welcome your opinion, to the betterment of both of us.
I think you misunderstand the spirit of the rule "Do not tell your problems to others unless you are sure they want to hear them". This is a rule which is primarily about respecting others. Basically, it means not to burden others with things that aren't their fault or problem. Every person has their own problems, and their own burdens to bear, and it is extremely disrespectful to add yours to theirs. That doesn't mean you can't talk about your problems, it just means that you should be sure about your relationship with the person you are talking to and know that: A, they care enough about you that they want to know about it; B. the knowledge wouldn't be a burden that it's unreasonable to ask the person to bear. Would I tell my problems to my wife? Absolutely, she's my partner in this life and our burdens are mutual. Would I tell a friend? Probably not all of my burdens, but part of friendship is sharing burdens, so in some cases yes. Would I tell a boss or subordinate? No. It's not their problem, and they don't deserve to have to deal with it. It's not about bottling things up, it's about making sure that what your saying is appropriate to your audience.
If you help me I will pay my debt if I am able. It would be very disrespectful to do otherwise.
God doesn't exist, and I hope someday the universe lets you understand that. In any case, thank you for the discussion, and best of luck in our battle against these pedophile freaks.
I understand what your saying, but I think there's huge difference in the way we look at things, and what we each consider respectful.
I don't see that someone telling me their problems is being disrespectful. Whether we're really good friends, or not.
If you came to me with your problems, I would actually be flattered that you thought so much of my opinion, you would come to me and tell me your problems.
It would actually make me feel pretty good about myself, and that's NOT a bad thing.
I understand that not everyone feels this way, but there are a lot of people that do.
Also, I don't think it's disrespect for someone to ask me to help pay a bill.
Contrary to popular belief most people feel embarrassed and degraded when they have to ask someone to help them pay bills.
So again, for me it's very flattering that you ask me for help.
It means you trust me enough to not turn away from you, or to redicule you when you come to me at a VERY LOW point in your life, and ask for help.
To me that's the defintion of respect. I trust you, I believe in you, and I know you can help me, or at least will try.
Also, again I have to disagree. There IS a God, and I pray that someday soon you'll realize that.
Thank you too for the discussion, I'm always interested in learning opposing views.
Ok, let's role-play this a bit. You're you, your name is Sally, and you work at the local corner store. I'm me, my name is Bob, and I've worked with you for going on three years, on the same night shift. We fucked a couple times the first year, but there really wasn't any chemistry, and since then we've been buddies at work and incommunicado outside of work. I'm going to tell you three problems I've had and we'll see how you react to each.
First one: Hey Sally, how's it Going?
S'alright, Bob, how are you?
Not great, i hit a cat with my car on the way to work, i feel so bad.
Telling me you ran over your cat and your having a bad day, is NOT a burden to me. I'm not going to internalize it. It's not going to effect MY day.
It actually helps me to understand why, your in a bad mood and your doing a crappy job at work.
No, I'm not covering for you at work so you can go spy on your wife. BUT you can tell me WHY you think your wife's cheating on you.
Maybe MY perspective might help you realize your paranoid, or maybe she really is cheating on you.
Either way, whether she is, or isn't cheating on you doesn't effect me or my world. I'm going to continue to work, and live my life.
You see from what I've seen your religion doesn't believe in forgiveness.
But my religion teaches forgiveness is essential, to being forgiven.
So even though this guy hurt me in the past, I can forgive him for it, and move on with my life.
I don't wish him harm. It comes back to me helping you, and you hopefully helping me, later on if I need it.
It's not a cult. I mean, I've never even met another Satanist. It's a series of guidelines about how to live ethically and empower yourself. And one of the main rules is "Don't hurt children", which is why I'm here trying to help you crazy-ass religious motherfuckers expose some disgusting monsters.
First, thank you for the help. But seriously that's like believing a guy called Traitor McMurder telling you "don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt any kids." LeVey was associated with Aquino and probably raped and murdered kids, and of course he would lie about it. It's called SATANism! How much more obvious does it need to be?
The entire concept of satanism is a lure, if I were you I'd just be an atheist or agnostic and not associate with friggin movements that are named after evil religious entities.
Although I seriously think God is real even if purely for cosmological reasons. The enemy of these child killers is the God of Christianity, who is frequently said to be violent in the old testament; but guess what, most of that violence was directed at the child killing cultures!
Well, it's the most sensible and practical ethical philosophy I've ever found as far as living in our modern world goes, ànd Ive never talked to a Satanist who would ever consider hurting a kid. It's called Satanism because we reject the weak moral code preached by your pathetic stick god. But
I had heard that there is another type of Satanist that actually believes in Satan and tries to do evil, but until this whole pizzagate thing it never once occured to me that might be more than a myth.
Hate to break it to you but the "good" one is a cover for the bad one. Look into LeVays connection to Aquino.
Christianity isn't designed to lure, it is aware that it's challenging and that most people won't get into it, and even many "Christians" will not make it because they're actually full of it. The entire premise is the challenge! Several parables indicate that most men are too morally weak to make it. Incidentally, that's why it's not practical. It's a discipline test. Heck, the central figure and many of his followers were tortured to death for their beliefs!
If anything is designed to deceive, it's the easy going, practical system that appeals to the creature comforts of humanity and focuses on vague, feel-good, romanticized concepts.
Dude, I've read everything there is to read about LaVey. And let me tell you, that man and his religion look pretty peachyncompared to, say, the Catholic Church. That said, I don't worship or even particularly respect Anton LaVey, I just think that the ethical rules he devised are more or less the same as the ones a rational man would invent in a vacuum.
I'm a Christian and I completely denounce the Catholic Church too. They are humans. Christianity is ONLY about Christ and his teachings, period. Anything else is human scheming. The whole concept of Pope and Church with a capital C is offensive.
Jesus openly says that many, if not most who call themselves Christians will not be saved.
LaVey talks a good game but that's his MO. Deception. You attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
I see. Well, I'm glad you're well versed in it. I can only say I hope you can come back to it some day with a different outlook, which is to completely lose the mainstream views of it and go minimalist. The cushy version which is propagated by the mainstream view is the result of marketing. The truth is it was never meant to be easy. It's probably the hardest mission I've ever had in my life. And of course it's hard. This is the religion which asks you to endure the great pain and struggle of this world, and to confess your sins and repent. And it's so hard that nobody can do this to perfection, so we're supposed to let Jesus do that for us. That's what the faith is. It's isn't just random faith in a random book.
Somewhat jokingly, I'd say this was the "eat your vegetables and do your homework" religion. The homework part is particularly true, because so much stuff in the Bible needs to be researched in order to understand. There are also some forgeries that made it into certain versions. But I've never gotten permanently hung up on any of these issues after doing my homework.
And I hope that one day you gather enough wisdom so that you can see Christianity for what it is: a construction of a ruthless elite who have for 1500ish years used it to mold western society into a pathetic herd of easily controlled cattle so that they can slaughter you at will.
I've read the Bible about two dozen times, in every major English version, plus the apocrypha and the gnostic gospels if you ever want to discuss particular aspects of it.

It's EASY to turn away from trouble. It's EASY to care ONLY about YOURSELF!
How much MORE of an EFFORT do I HAVE TO MAKE to care about YOU? To NOT just look after MYSELF, but to care for myself and others?
My beliefs seem to require a LOT MORE EFFORT on my part, and MUCH more discipline than your codes.

Not great, i hit a cat with my car on the way to work, i feel so bad.
I_have_my_gun_ready ago
Okay I don't think this version really applies to your codes, because I have a relationship with this guy, even though it's a bad one.
But luck for you I've actually had a similar experience.
What I say is, I'm really sorry to hear that. That's a really messed up way to start the day.
But really there' s nothing I can to bring the cat back, or ro make him feel better. So I'd pretty much leave it at that.
rodental ago
That's the whole point: what is an acceptable burden to place on a person given their relationship with you.
Second one: How's it Goin' Bob?
It's the worst night of my life, I think my wife is cheating on me, I don't know, but... hey can you cover for me so I can go spy on her?
I_have_my_gun_ready ago

I cant respect a satanist. At least be an atheist. You're rejecting religion by embracing a cult? Thats really not a good look.
rodental ago
It's not a cult. I mean, I've never even met another Satanist. It's a series of guidelines about how to live ethically and empower yourself. And one of the main rules is "Don't hurt children", which is why I'm here trying to help you crazy-ass religious motherfuckers expose some disgusting monsters.
heywhatsgoingon ago

That said, I don't worship or even particularly respect Anton LaVey, I just think that the ethical rules he devised are more or less the same as the ones a rational man would invent in a vacuum.
heywhatsgoingon ago
I'm a Christian and I completely denounce the Catholic Church too. They are humans. Christianity is ONLY about Christ and his teachings, period. Anything else is human scheming. The whole concept of Pope and Church with a capital C is offensive.
Jesus openly says that many, if not most who call themselves Christians will not be saved.
LaVey talks a good game but that's his MO. Deception. You attract more flies with honey than vinegar.

I was a Christian for 25 years before I saw the light of rationality. I actually did a year of seminary.
heywhatsgoingon ago
