We all over John but I'm starting to think Tony is the power behind him. I see a creepy grandpa adams type but in reality he is very smart https://www.wired.com/1998/12/podesta/ and seems to want to keep it on the down low. The body language tape about John suggests John is easily dominated and Tony is the oldest he may of started early.
