Okay, I'm setting the ball rolling on my TechNews taskforce proposal from yesterday with this post which is aimed at both the main pizzagate subverse but also looking for input from tech savvy subscribers.

Today, I started looking at THORN specifically. Within half an hour, I had a list of questions as long as my arm. So, instead of one long complicated post, which will take hours, I'm going to chunk my questions and start with a simple one.
Firstly, before pizzagate many of us assumed that one needs to go to the mysterious 'dark web' in order to find CP. Yet recently CP has been found on everyday social media platforms such as Twitter1 and Youtube2 and Snapchat3. These platforms also have working partnerships with THORN! And I have long noted that reports of successfully rescuing children have always focused on the children but hardly ever on the perpetrators or even the technology platforms that aided the crimes. It's time we had a closer look.
So, one would assume that we would have information available to the public in terms of what these platforms themselves are doing to correct the problem, right ? Well, at the moment I can't find anything in that respect. perhaps someone can steer me to those reports.
So, here is the THORN company report: A Report on the Use of Technology to Recruit, Groom and Sell Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Victims
That report seems to focus on the use of cell phones and the linguistics of text messaging, no mention of specific platforms or anything else technology related really. I would love for someone who is used to reading company technology reports to review this THORN exercise because I find it superficial and lacking in deep data.
So, my simple question is, is a report like this from such a high tech company, adequate public facing reporting ? Are there other THORN technology related reports that I haven't yet seen ?
THORN's working relationship with the CIA I will highlight in the next post.

THORN is out for me.
McCain mixed with NCMEC seems extremely fishy anymore. Don't get me wrong, looking into it should be a very significant focus of ours. If I could make suggestions, Google and Tor should be other areas of focus. But hell, those are whole other beasts themselves.
Unfortunately, the technical skills that I have are near elementary. Most of the lingo, I'm good with. Beyond that though, I'm not all that useful.
If someone could help me understand how to archive a site, I'll run to 8ch and steemit after I hit voat, then just zip it and put it on a flash drive. Maybe that could be helpful.

Interested in archiving you say ? Hold that thought. I need a couple of archivists. I'll be posting about that soon. Have you subscribed to our TNT subverse at https://voat.co/v/pizzagateTNT/ ?
