1, if investigations are compartmentalized, how can you know there is no investigation as a random unaffiliated investigator. Your logic contradicts itself. Consider too the possibility investigators are withholding information for when Jeff Sessions takes control of the DoJ, to ensure prosecution.
2, if the investigation is being carried out in secrecy, you would be unable to know anything about it.
3, the last FBI anon was obviously a LARPer. I don't believe the first FBI anon was even FBI himself, yet his predictions were somewhat accurate, I'm assuming he was a member of another intelligence agency, not the FBI, either american or foreign. Or, if pizzagate really is fake, a priming manoeuvre ahead of the leaks, and the whole thing is a brilliant propaganda operation.
4, I think so far there is no conclusive evidence this is about child trafficking, could just be old-fashioned corruption or auctioning off state secrets and intelligence, I'm confident we'll find out because if Trump fails to guarantee prosecution, the foreign intelligence agencies concerned and maybe even individuals around the world will leak the rest of the hacked information.
Why does the OP care if we are barking up the wrong tree? If we in fact are barking up wrong tree, wouldn't someone with OP's inside knowledge just sit back and enjoy us chasing our tails?
