Shut up you crazy coincidence theorist.

AreWeSure ago

there are such things as coincidences

Azagthoth ago

Someone ALWAYS initially choses in which direction the ball is going to roll.

AreWeSure ago

which means what? coincidences don't exist?

Wired has had a libertarian bent since it was started and this is in perfect harmony with that history.

from wikipedia

Louis Rossetto (born 1949) is an Italian-American journalist and "radical libertarian."[1] He is best known as the founder and former publisher of Wired magazine.

Jane Metcalfe is the co-founder, with Louis Rossetto, and former president of Wired Ventures, creator and original publisher of Wired Magazine. ..... In 1994 she was elected to the board of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

John Gilmore (born 1955) is one of the founders of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the Cypherpunks mailing list

A cypherpunk is any activist advocating widespread use of strong cryptography and privacy-enhancing technologies as a route to social and political change

The are california silicon valley style libertarians as opposed to Texas style libertarians. But Wired was never liberal. Think of the folks who started Bitcoin or Edward Snowden. Do you consider those liberals?

I realised that with the clinton kill list.

I hate to be the one to break it to you but criminals have known about burners for awhile. They don't need a news article to explain it to them. Please delete yourself from the Internet before you hurt yourself.

I think you're getting the wrong end of the stick here... OP means that the MSM (i.e. Wired.com) is hinting that now is a good time to get a burner because normal lines simply aren't safe due to ongoing investigations.. They are shutting up shop.. Whether it's in time; we're yet to see...

*"I think you're getting the wrong end of the stick here..."

Whatever gave you that idea?

This feels more like a /v/pizzagatewhatever post. It's weird timing but advice for protecting your privacy isn't exclusive to JA and crew

oneslyfox ago

I thought about it and I am at the mercy of the mods, but I will vehemently disagree that this sub is for strictly JA related things. PG has evolved since that broke and includes more than JA and his cronies (for the better, I think since it probably goes much deeper)

Either way I appreciate the feedback.

+1. It might also be more acutely on their minds given Russia influenced our election by leaking correspondence between parties who were rigging our election.

Or a 400 pound man, but the CIA says we should trust them. So IDK. :P
